What We Believe |
|
Brief Statement of Faith We believe that all scripture is inspired by God and is the rule of faith and practice of the church. We believe in one God who is perfect, eternal, personal and unchangeable. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He has made himself know to us in the Bible. We believe that humanity was created by God in His image, for fellowship with God, but by nature and by choice is now lost from fellowship with God and needs the salvation that is provided by Jesus Christ. We believe that by grace we are saved through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and not of the works of man. Each person who receives Christ is born again of the Holy Spirit and become a child of God. We believe the ordinances of the church are Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the immersion of a believer following a profession of faith and out of obedience to Jesus Christ. The Lord's Supper is taken by believers in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ. A fuller doctrinal statement can be found in The Baptist Faith and Message which can be secured in the church office. VVV |

You Can Be Saved Here are the ABC's of Salvation A. All persons need salvation. It doesn't matter how good you are or how religious you are. We all have a problem the Bible calls sin. All of us are sinners (Romans 3:10-18) The result of sin is spiritual death. Sin causes us to be separated from God for eternity. B. Because God loves us He sent His son Jesus Christ to come to the world and die on the cross for us. Jesus paid the price for our sin that we would not be separated from God. This salvation is not something that you can earn by being good or going to church but is a gift given to those who would receive it by faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9) C. Come to Jesus for eternal salvation. The desire in your heart to be saved is the Holy Spirit offering you the forgiveness of your sin and the gift of eternal life. Admit your sin and ask Jesus to deliver you form the consequences of sin. Yield control of your life to Him as your Lord and Savior, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9-10). Tell your pastor or a Christian friend about your decision. If you have questions about salvation please feel free to E-mail us or call the church office. Our prayer is that you will receive the gift of salvation today! VVV |
